GREEN TEA:
Green tea is one of the most common, and most well-researched diet pill ingredients. It is a legitimate diet aid and thus a good first diet pill ingredient for me to review. I hope.
The Camellia sinensis plant
gives us green, black, and oolong teas.
They are all derived from the leaves at different stages of youth. Green
tea is made of unfermented leaves, which may be the reason for green tea’s high
level of anti-oxidants. The scientific
names for antioxidants are Polphenols, and the ones in green tea are
specifically catechins, more commonly known on the diet market as EGCG. EGCG is the most widely researched and well known
diet pill ingredient. Out of all diet
pill ingredients, EGCG is one of the few proven ingredients which promote
weight loss. It can be drunk in green tea, or taken in pill form.
EGCG is the calorie burner in
green tea (discounting caffeine which is well known to burn). It has been
proven to aid the metabolism boost above and beyond what the natural caffeine
would do. In tests of green tea vs a
caffeine supplement, green tea always comes out on top and this is because of
EGCG. EGCG increases the number of
calories used by everyday activities for hours after drinking the tea. In a study conducted in 2005, it was shown
to boost endurance exercise performance and to increase the use of fatty acids
in the body to fuel activity.. In other words green tea was shown to help you
exercise for longer periods, because you were using up fatty tissues in your
body. Green tea was featured on Fox News in October
5, 2011 entitled “Drinking Green Tea May Help You Lose Weight”. It was also
featured in Yahoo news last August 3, 2011 entitled “The Official Green Tea
Diet Promotes Healthy Weight Loss”
You do not have to consume two
or three cups of tea each day to receive the health benefits of green tea. By
taking green tea pills (containing the extract) instead, you will be able to
consume the optimal amount easily and conveniently. Also, it’s been proven that
the active ingredients in the extract are more highly concentrated than in a
cup of tea. Green tea diet pills can
be bought different shops and pharmacies such as CVS, WALGREENS, GNC, Walmart,
etc. and online like Ebay and Amazon.
